In order to achieve 30/60 minute fire rating intumescent lock or latch protection kits must be fitted during installation.
Our locks and hinges that have been approved to Certifire have been tested with monoammonium phosphate intumescent material. To keep compliance with the Certified standard, it is recommended to follow this specification: For 30 minute fire doors use 1mm thick intumescent material and for 60 minute fire doors use 2mm thick intumescent material. Suitable for both square and radius face plate locks.
