The 2 part grommet "snaps" together and features a gasket seal which forms a tight air seal around cables and prevents dirt from entering the floor void. The grommet requires a simple 100mm square cut out. Its 2 part design with no outer housing means the unit could be installed in the edge of a floor panel without cables being “trapped” within the grommet or floor panel. This allows the panel to be removed without necessarily having to unplug cables. The built in locking arms hold the grommet firmly in position but also allow it to be easily removed when required.
